York Simcoe Nature Club is proud to sponsor a bursary to send a local student to OntarioNature's Youth Summit for Mother Earth. The Youth Summit is an annual event held in September, bringing together young nature lovers from across the province for a weekend of education and fun with like-minded friends.
In 2025 our club is raising funds to sponsor two (2) local students, grades 9 through 12 (14 – 20 years old), to attend this weekend Summit held in September at the Tawingo Outdoor Center in Huntsville. We are reaching out to the student population aged 14-20 in York Region (Georgina, East Gwillimbury, Newmarket, King, Aurora, Richmond Hill, Stouffville and Markham) and southern Simcoe County (Bradford West Gwillimbury, west to Tottenham and north to Innisfil). Our club meets in East Gwillimbury.
Interested student(s) or parents/guardians/friends with questions can contact us at: [email protected] with an email subject heading of “youth summit candidate 2025” and their email contact information.
We will reply and take it from there. Applications will close on March 31. If there are not 2 suitable candidate(s) by that date, we will extend the search to May 31.
